Every Morning

Mornings …we’ll begin with yoga and meditation in a room with an ocean view and heated floors. Each class will have a unique theme and work on strengthening and stretching different areas of the body, warming up both our bodies and our minds. Classes are appropriate for all levels and options are always given. Click HERE to try a sample class!

Every Afternoon

Afternoons…Every afternoon we will head out into the countryside and explore the Irish landscape. Activities change each year depending on participants and the weather. Past adventures have included:

-Private Whale and Dolphin watching Tour in Roaringwater Bay
-Hill Walking with  local experts (both seaside and in ancient oak woodlands)

-Ancient Sites Exploration

-Friday Market in Bantry Town – a unique experience and perfect place to shop for gifts!

-Gentle Kayak Adventures off the coast of Southwest Cork, including a bioluminescence night kayak!

-Bantry House and Gardens

-Wild Edible Foods and Herbal Medicine Making

Every Evening

EveningsII…every evening we will head to the pubs and local halls for music, dancing, or cultural events. Ireland is home to a very inclusive social scene and the pub atmosphere can be familial and full of laughter. Past events have included:

-Storytelling Night
-Irish Set Dancing lessons with live accordion music
-Céilí (Irish Set Dance with tea & cake)
-Live Music in pubs and hotels
-Pub Crawl
-Quiet night in with wild-crafted cocktails

Here’s a sample itinerary to get a sense of a typical day on the retreat. We do take into account who signs up and what their passions are, so our itinerary is more “alive” than other experiences. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us!

8:00-9:30      Yoga
9:30-10:30    Breakfast
10:30-11:30  Prep for Day (Lunches are packed)

11:30-17:00  Hike, explore, kayak, adventure
17:00-18:00  Free time – rest and relax
18:00-19:30  Dinner

19:30 – 20:00 Get ready for a night out
20:00-23:00   Time at a pub or dance hall or community night…this is when we explore Irish culture!
